Label each image
Give every picture a short description such as “close selfie”, “outdoor activity” or “formal event”. Then compare images within the same group and keep the one with clearer light and a more natural expression.
Test the set
- View all photos together as thumbnails.
- Identify repeated framing and backgrounds.
- Remove the weakest repeat.
- Add a different real context only if one is missing.
Three selfies taken on separate days can still add less information than one selfie and a clear activity picture. Changing the shirt does not necessarily change the image's role.
Avoid replacing repetition with confusion
Do not add an old or unrepresentative picture just because it looks different. The useful balance is current, recognisable and varied. A smaller coherent set is easier to understand than a larger collection whose only organising principle is visual difference.
