Compare the whole frame
Try two familiar tops against the planned background. A pale shirt against a pale wall can blend into the scene; a strong pattern may compete with the face.
Make a small test
- Take an unfiltered frame in each option.
- Compare at phone size.
- Check whether the face remains the main focus.
- Choose comfort as well as contrast.
A dark blue top may work well against a warm wall, while the same top disappears into a dark evening setting. Judge the actual combination rather than following a colour rule in isolation.
Keep the wardrobe believable
Do not choose a formal or conspicuous outfit solely because an online checklist calls it attractive. A good photograph should make meeting you feel consistent with seeing your profile. Use a different supporting photo for another real side of your wardrobe rather than changing costumes repeatedly in one session.
