Use a small folder structure
Separate originals, candidates and final uploads. A filename containing the scene and edit purpose is more useful than a long sequence of “final-final” copies.
Keep the process reversible
- Copy the original before editing.
- Save crops as separate versions.
- Export only the selected candidates.
- Record which version you uploaded to each profile.
For example, a wide park portrait can have both a tall card crop and a square avatar crop. Neither should replace the full image in your archive.
Reduce clutter after choosing
Delete unnecessary temporary copies while retaining the original and chosen export. Keep private images in storage you control, especially on shared devices. A tidy workflow makes future updates easier and reduces the temptation to keep editing a compressed screenshot because the source file has been lost.
