Prepare the essentials
Choose a familiar outfit, a safe location with good light and a simple camera setup. Tell the photographer what each picture should communicate rather than asking vaguely for “better photos”.
Capture in order
- Face-led portrait with a relaxed expression.
- Wider seated or standing picture.
- An activity or environmental frame.
- A quick review for sharpness and crop flexibility.
If the first portrait already works, move on instead of taking fifty tiny variations. The extra time may be better spent finding a genuinely different supporting image.
Leave room for ordinary moments
The plan is a guide, not a demand for a pose in every frame. Keep the interaction conversational and pause when you feel tense. Select only the pictures that remain natural and current; completing the shot list does not mean every resulting image belongs on the profile.
