Check the crop and company
Avoid awkwardly cutting another person in half or leaving a hand on your shoulder without context. Use a solo frame if you have one, and respect other people's preferences before displaying them.
Review the image
- Check that event lighting does not hide the eyes.
- Choose a natural expression over a stiff pose.
- Keep enough room around the body for a clean crop.
- Pair it with a recent everyday picture.
A wedding photograph can show you dressed carefully, but a heavily cropped group image may create more questions than it answers. Another frame from the same event may be clearer.
Keep the context honest
Do not imply the event is your ordinary lifestyle or remove context to create a misleading story. If the formal photo is much older than the rest, take a current portrait rather than relying on the suit or dress to make it feel timeless.
